A demonstration that precision CAD is not only a marine discipline. The brief came through Topline Manufacturers, multi-tier metal badges with strict brand-compliance constraints, distinct engraving per tier, with the full series required on a tight schedule.
Brand constraints
The brief arrived with strict brand-compliance requirements: every badge had to carry the brand’s visual identity exactly as supplied, at specified engraving depths, with a matt-bead finish consistent across tiers. The challenge was translating vector brand artwork into CAM-ready engraving geometry that would produce cleanly at production scale.
Tooling and scale
We designed a family of badge variants sharing common tooling infrastructure, varying only in the engraving pattern and tier indicator. This brought the unit tooling cost down significantly while keeping the tier-specific detail the brand demanded.
