Not every engagement at RKT is a bespoke programme. A meaningful part of our practice is an ongoing CAM-programming service stream, clients send us a CAD model and a machine specification, and we return production-ready CAM code, simulated, with setup sheets and an inspection plan.
Why this exists
Many small and mid-sized manufacturers have excellent machining capability but lack the in-house CAM depth to program complex 5-axis jobs efficiently. Outsourcing individual programs to RKT is meaningfully cheaper than hiring a senior CAM programmer full-time, and meaningfully better than doing it at the limit of available capability.
Scope of work
Over the past four years this service has covered aluminium structural components, composite mould cores, timber joinery for yacht interiors, and brand-manufacturing tooling. Typical turnaround is five to ten working days from CAD receipt to production-ready CAM code; rush turnarounds available on request.
